DISEASES OF THE TONGUE #1....EXCESSIVE TALKING...WHAT???

Excessive Talking...OMG!!!....so I was searching through some old notes and I ran across some notes that I took a long time ago about the diseases of the tongue, there are 6 of them. Ya'll want to talk about convicted...I'm so guilty of all of them in one way or another. I want to share them with ya if ya don't mind. So the 1st one is Excessive talking...they say it's so common that we accept it as normal. Yes sometimes I can chat it up with the best of them...Proverbs 10:19 when words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. In other words, if you say to much you are bound to say something wrong. GUILTY!!!! how many times have something happen and I've told the story to someone else and accidentally or on purpose add my own words just to make the story more dramatic or interesting. Countless...Lord help your child!...sometimes I ramble on and on and lose sight of my whole point...Please don't tell me I'm the only one. Then it goes on to say that Excessive talking is a sure indication of someone whose heart is not at rest. Oh yes when I begin to ramble you better believe I'm talking about everything...every hurt, every pain, who did it, and why I trust no one. You bet not start to agree with me...cause now you just opened up the flood gates to the issues on my heart. Sometimes it's just best to listen, be slow to speak and quick to hear. What if someone was about to bless us with words of encouragement to get through our problem, or words of wisdom to help us make a very difficult decision...but our need to talk and talk and talk causes us to miss our blessing. If you're looking for someone whose ears are open and mouth is shut...here I am ...I got the message loud and clear. Sometimes we can talk so much we miss out on being a blessing to others...it's not by chance that certain ppl are in our lives and if we're in constant motor mouth mode...how will we ever hear their need that God has blessed us to fill. So I guess we just gotta SHUT UP!! sometimes...I'll be back tomorrow with disease #2 =)
