2ND NATURE...

Okay so I was in an R&B group for eight years called 2nd Nature...Our name meant that singing came so easy to us that it seemed like 2nd Nature. In that group is where I learned about hard work, sacrifice, and drive...we never broke into the music industry but we came pretty dern close in our eyes. We had a tight schedule, interviews with record labels, and we even had an agency to send us to Miami...but God had other plans for us. Although I love to sing and often miss it...I don't miss getting on stage in front of a crowd, that lump that I use to get in back of my throat before we performed, or the nerves that use to cause my whole body to shake before I sing the first note...I guess singing wasn't like 2nd Nature for me at all. I found that writing was more comfortable for me...be it songs, scripts, or short stories. Later in life I found my gift...it was always there but I never noticed it because I didn't have to work so hard at it. Even though it showed up often...I had to learn that where my gift is so is my anointing. I wrote songs, plays, and short stories etc...without thinking, it flowed like water. You see singing is my talent...I have to work at it...I have to rehearse and overcome things to make it perfect or acceptable...but writing is my gift. There will never be a song that I sing that will inspire a nation...but there have been plays that I've written that have inspired a congregation. I guess what I'm saying is find your gift and work it...your gift is where your anointing is. The bible says your gift will make room for you...so if we are aware of our gifts and we use it to the glory of God no matter where we are in life our gifts pushes through. What is it that you do that moves ppl? What is it that's effortless? What is it that invades your life without permission? What is it that pushes through your busy schedules and makes time to be used? Find it and make it take center stage in your life...anybody can work and become great but what about the greatness that lies within. What about that untapped gift that just might take the world by storm...that one thing that's just like breathing...that one thing that's just like 2ND NATURE =)
